    I love reading all of your blogs! Your writing style is beautiful. As I read about your experiences and perceptions, they take me back to 1973 when we spent several weeks going down the Madera River on one of the Luzeiros. In our 6 months in Brazil we worked mostly out at the school, when Graca and her sisters were students. Along with your grandparents, we took weekly trips into Manous to do much of the shopping for the school cafeteria and for the little supply store we ran on the campus.
    We will be praying for you as you learn how to treat the people at the stops along the river.
